Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program: Cultivating Healthy Environments

The Cultivating Healthy Environments Program will award grants for projects in EPA’s Region 7 under the Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program (TCGM). This funding prioritizes communities disproportionately affected by environmental and public health challenges in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous Nations.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through Spring 2027. Funding awards will range from $75,000 to $350,000 to help organizations assess, plan, and implement environmental and climate programs.

At this time, our region’s Cultivating Health Environments (Thriving Communities Grantmaking) Program is operational. We are encouraging people to continue moving their grant applications forward. Rural Development works with low-income individuals, State, local and Indian Tribal governments, as well as private and nonprofit organizations and user-owned cooperatives.
