Heartland EJ Center Community Program Coordinator Mandy La Brier contributed to a panel discussion at the Midwest Climate Collaborative Summit on “Harnessing the Power of Grassroots Ecosystems to Accelerate Climate Action.” The conversation focused on igniting and supporting grassroots climate movements.

“A big thank you to Midwest Climate Collaborative Executive Director Heather Navarro for inviting HEJC and our partners to participate this year,” says Mandy. “From Leah Thomas’ Keynote on Intersectional Environmentalism to the closing with REACT Student Theatre’s spectacular performance of their original production “Dreamland,” about the rise of eco-anxiety, gave way to further environmental justice to accelerate climate action. Let’s keep this momentum going!”
